Benford Capital Partners (“Benford Capital” or “BCP”), a Chicago-based private equity investment firm, is pleased to announce it has acquired Animix, LLC (“Animix” or the “Company”) from the retiring owner, Janusz Sowinski. The Company’s management team, led by President Ronelle Blome and Director of Sales and Technical Services Dave Wood, invested alongside BCP and will continue to lead the Company post-closing. The acquisition marks the 7^th platform investment in Benford Capital Partners I, LP.

Founded in 1994 and based in Juneau, WI, Animix is a niche-market leading B2B ingredients company serving the animal feed industry. Selling primarily to the calf milk replacer market, the Company manufactures custom-formulated vitamin and mineral premixes and supplements and distributes related ingredients. Animix serves a critical link in the animal feed supply chain; its ingredients are essential to the end product’s quality and effectiveness.

BCP plans to continue investing in sales and marketing, customer service, new product development, and enhanced operational capabilities to drive the Company’s organic growth. In addition, BCP and management will actively pursue add-on acquisitions of related feed additive companies.
