Benford Capital Partners (“Benford Capital” or “BCP”), a Chicago-based private equity investment firm, and its portfolio company, Argus Monitoring Solutions Holdings, LLC (“Argus Monitoring Solutions” or “Argus”), are pleased to announce the acquisition of Geoscan Seismic Services, Inc. (“Geoscan” or the “Company”).

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Grundy, VA, Geoscan is a leading provider of seismic and vibration monitoring solutions for the quarry and mining sectors. The Company has built a strong reputation for expertise in ground vibration and acoustic monitoring, delivering critical monitoring and analysis to a long-standing and loyal customer base.

The acquisition enhances Argus’ presence in the Mid-Atlantic, combining Geoscan’s strong local relationships and established reputation with Argus’ resources and scale. Together, the companies will deliver a broader suite of monitoring services to current and future customers while continuing to provide the reliable support Geoscan has delivered for nearly two decades. All Geoscan employees will be retained post-closing, with Seller Brandon Evans continuing as an Area Manager and leading efforts to expand service capabilities across the region.
